Photography Guide
Follow these simple guidelines to get the best possible editing results.
Keep your camera perfectly level. Avoid tilting up or down to prevent distorted walls and leaning vertical lines.
Stand in a corner whenever possible to capture the maximum amount of the room.
Open curtains and blinds. Shoot during daylight for clean, natural lighting.
Move closer instead of zooming digitally to preserve image quality.
Photograph interiors from approximately 120–140 cm (4–4.5 ft) above the floor.
Include floor, ceiling, doors and windows whenever possible.
Photograph every room from at least two opposite corners.
Remove personal items, trash, laundry and unnecessary objects before taking photos.
Side by side
Top-down view
Shoot from opposite corners at chest height with a wide-angle lens. This captures the full geometry of the room and gives editors the best material to work with.
